The majority of reports contain a date range filter. This is normally comprised of a ‘start date’ field and an ‘end date’ field.
The date being used for comparison can vary but the way in which the comparison work is the same unless otherwise specified.
[compare date] <= ‘start date’ and [compare date] >= ’end date’
If no date range is selected, i.e. the date fields are left blank then no date range filter will be applied. It should be noted however that on some reports the date range is mandatory.
